Overview

This document describes the SEGO-Camp portable stove, model number 1500003888, manufactured by SUPER EGO TOOLS, S.L.U. It is a compact and portable cooking appliance designed for outdoor use or in well-ventilated indoor areas.

Function Description

The SEGO-Camp portable stove is a butane gas-powered cooking device. Its primary function is to provide a portable heat source for cooking. It features a burner head and body, a control panel with a flame regulator, and a piezoelectric ignition for easy lighting. The stove is designed to operate with SUPER-EGO butane cartridges (EN417 standard).

Key safety features include:

  • A safety device that cuts off the gas supply if the cartridge pressure becomes excessive (e.g., due to overheating).
  • A pressure regulating valve to reduce gas pressure and prevent sudden flare-ups.
  • A cartridge lock lever that ensures the gas cartridge is properly seated and secured before operation. The stove cannot be operated if the regulator is in the OFF position when installing the cartridge.
  • A wind protection screen to ensure stable flame performance in outdoor conditions.

The stove is intended for domestic use and should not be modified or repaired by the user. In case of issues, contact customer service.

Usage Features

Before Use:

  1. Read Instructions: Carefully read the user manual before connecting the gas cartridge.
  2. Check Seals: Before connecting the gas cartridge, ensure that the seals between the appliance and the cartridge are correctly placed and in good condition.
  3. Cartridge Installation:
    • Ensure the cartridge lock lever is in the open position (open padlock icon).
    • Open the cartridge protection cover.
    • Insert the cartridge head first, with the notch facing upwards and aligned with the valve guide.
    • Push the cartridge lock lever to the "LOCK" position (closed padlock icon). If a hissing sound is heard, the cartridge is not correctly inserted; adjust its position if necessary.
    • The gas cartridge must be replaced outdoors and away from people.
  4. Placement: The stove must be used on a horizontal surface. Do not place two stoves side-by-side. Ensure the base openings are not obstructed, as they are designed to feed combustion air.

Operation:

  1. Ignition: Rotate the regulator knob counter-clockwise to the "PIEZO" position until the ignition device activates. If it does not light, repeat the process.
  2. Flame Adjustment: Once lit, move the slider to the desired flame position.
  3. Safety Precautions:
    • Do not use containers or pans that cover the protective cap of the cartridge.
    • Do not use the appliance without the drip tray/tray support.
    • Never use the appliance near flammable materials.
    • If a gas leak is detected (typical gas odor), immediately take the stove outdoors to a well-ventilated area to locate and repair the leak. Do not use a flame to detect leaks; use soapy water.
    • If you smell gas, do not light the stove, extinguish any flames nearby, disconnect the gas cartridge, evacuate the area, and contact a professional.

After Use:

  1. Shut Down: Rotate the regulator knob to the "OFF" position (fully clockwise).
  2. Cartridge Removal: Lift the cartridge lever to turn off the gas supply and remove the cartridge. In an emergency, the stove can be immediately turned off by lifting the cartridge lever to the OFF position.
  3. Cool Down: Ensure the stove is completely cool before disconnecting the gas cartridge. For user safety, always remove the cartridge after use.

Troubleshooting:

  • No Gas: Check if the cartridge is correctly installed. The gas cartridge may be empty; shake it.
  • No Ignition: Clean the burner head with a brush.

  1. After Each Use: Once the stove has completely cooled down, clean all food residues, especially grease.
  2. Burner Head: If ignition issues occur, clean the burner head with a brush.

Storage:

  1. Cartridge Storage: Remove the cartridge, attach the safety cap, and store it in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated place.
  2. Stove Storage: Position the drip pan so that both the pan and its supports are upside down. Then store the portable stove in the included carrying case.
