Note: Not all BIOS can be ashed. Some cannot be ashed; it depends
on the modications to the boot block code.
3. If you've followed the instructions above to troubleshoot your system, and
still cannot resolve the problem, then contact Supermicro's technical support and
provide them with the following information:
• Motherboard model and PCB revision number
• BIOS release date/version (this can be seen on the initial display when your
system rst boots up)
• System conguration (OS version, peripheral devices, power supply type, etc)

Question: What type of memory does my motherboard support?
Answer:
The X7SPA-L, X7SPA-H, X7SPA-HF, X7SPE-H, X7SPE-HF supports up to
4GB of unbuffered Non-ECC DDR2 667/800 MHz, two-way interleaved or
non-interleaved SO DIMM SDRAM. See Section 2-4 for details on installing
memory.
The X7SPE-H-D525, X7SPA-HF-D525, X7SPA-H-D525 and X7SPE-HF-D525
supports up to 4GB of unbuffered Non-ECC DDR3 800MHz, two-way inter-
leaved or non-interleaved SO DIMM SDRAM
Question: Why does Microsoft Windows XP (SP2) and Windows Vista show
less memory than what is physically installed?
Answer: Microsoft implemented a design change in Windows XP with Service
Pack 2 (SP2) and Windows Vista. This change is specic to the Physical Ad-
dress Extension (PAE) mode behavior which improves driver compatibility. For
