• Remove the two wire clamps.
• Disconnect the starter motor lead wire 1.
• Disconnect the generator lead wire 2 and coupler 3.
• Remove the gearshift lever by removing its mounting bolt.
• Remove the engine sprocket cover by removing the bolts.
• Remove the speed sensor rotor 4.
• Remove the engine sprocket nut 5 while depressing the rear
brake pedal.

• Loosen the rear axle nut 6 and chain adjusters 7 to provide
additional chain slack.
• Remove the engine sprocket.
