High Beam Indicator 5

A Blue light will come on when the
headlight high beam is turned on.
4WD/Differential Gear Lock
Indicator 8
The instrument panel shows 4WD
when the transfer is shifted to 4WD
with 2WD/4WD selection switch. The
differential gear lock indicator comes
on when the differential gear lock
switch is operated and the front differ-
ential gear is locked. The indicator
blinks when the switch is turned on
and the differential gear is not locked.
The indicator remains lit when the
switch is turned off and the gear lock
is not released. The indicator goes off
when the differential gear lock is
released.
NOTE: The 4WD/differential gear lock
indicator may not go off when the
switch is shifted from 4WD to 2WD
due to differential gear synchroniza-
tion mechanism. The indicator will go
off just after ATV starts moving.
Shift position indicator 9
The shift position indicator indicates
shift lever positions: R, N, H and L
R: Shift lever is in “R” (Reverse) posi-
tion. The reverse indicator 3 also
comes on.
N: Shift lever is in “N” (Neutral) posi-
tion. The neutral indicator 4 also
comes on.
H: Shift lever is in “H” (High) position.
L: Shift lever is in “L” (Low) position.
Speedometer 0
The speedometer shows approximate
vehicle speed.
NOTE:
• Set the meter to odometer then
press and hold buttons, 1 and 7
for 2 seconds to change between
km/h and mph.
• Check km/h and mph display after
adjusting the instrument panel dis-
play.
Odometer/Trip meter A
The display has two functions, odom-
eter and two trip meters. To change
the display, push button 7. The dis-
play changes as follows:
Odometer
The odometer registers the total dis-
tance that the vehicle has been rid-
den.
Trip meter
The two trip meters are resettable
odometer. They can register two
kinds of distance at the same time.
For instance, trip meter A can register
the trip distance and trip B can regis-
ter the distance between fuel stops.
