6. Wipe off the mounting surface 4
on the engine where the new filter
will be seated with a clean rag.
7. Smear a little engine oil around
the rubber gasket 5 of the new oil
filter.
8. Screw the new filter by hand until
the filter gasket contacts the
mounting surface (a small resis-
tance will be felt).
NOTE: To tighten the oil filter properly,
it is important to accurately identify
the position at which the filter gasket
first contacts the mounting surface.
CAUTION
Failure to use the correct oil filter
can damage your ATV.
Engine damage may occur if you
use oil filter with the wrong design
or thread specifications.
Be sure to use a genuine SUZUKI
oil filter or an equivalent one
designed for your ATV.
