1E-7 Engine Lubrication System:
• Hold the crank balancer driven gear with the special
tool and tighten the oil pump drive gear bolt (3) to the
specified torque.
Special tool
(A): 09920–53740 (Clutch sleeve hub holder)
Tightening torque
Oil pump drive gear/Crank balancer driven gear
bolt (a): 50 N·m (5.0 kgf-m, 36.0 lb-ft)
Oil Pump Inspection

Inspect the oil pump in the following procedures:
1) Remove the oil pump. Refer to “Oil Pump Removal
and Installation (Page 1E-5)”.
2) Rotate the oil pump by hand and check that it moves
smoothly. If it does not move smoothly, replace the
oil pump assembly.
CAUTION
!
Do not attempt to disassemble the oil pump
assembly.
The oil pump is available only as an
assembly.
3) Install the oil pump. Refer to “Oil Pump Removal and
Installation (Page 1E-5)”.
