There are two ways to use the automatic ID purge control -
a constant pressure method and a constant ow method.
During the constant pressure method the M200 power
supply will maintain the desired ID gas pressure
throughout the weld cycle.
During the constant ow method the M200 will maintain
the ID gas ow set prior to the weld throughout the weld
cycle. This method can be used when the pressure sensor
cannot be placed close to the weld joint or other system
restrictions result in different pressures at the weld joint
and the pressure sensor. The pressure sensor is not in the
system during the weld cycle.
