source with the Swan

Before connecting any cableE
to the
Swan 400,
perforrn th€ foilowing stepB:
l Rotate
the PA Bias control on the
rear chassis apron,

the Function Switch located
on the lower IeJt
of the front panel

3. Rotate
the AF Gain Control

clockwise to
operate the
power
switch
to OFF.
POWER SUPPLY AND

l. Connect
either
the
Swan 4068
or
410
Frequency Control Unit
to the
9
pin
connector near the center
of
the
rear chassis apron.
2. Connect
a 50
to 75 ohln antenna to
the coaxial
connector on the rear
chassis
pane1.
3. Connect
the
power
supply cable to
the Jones
connector on the rear
chas sis
apron.

4. Connect
the power supply
to the
proper
voltaSe
solrlce.
RECEIVE
OPERATION

Rotate the Sideband Selector

providing lower sideband on 40
and 80 meters. and

selected when the

the clockwise
position,
(b)
Rotate
the Phone-CW switch to
Phone,
(c)
Rotate the Bandswitch
to desired
band.

Rotate
