2.5 Mount a suitable ratchet adapter and/or torque wrench to the
input of the 8202-290A Torque Multiplier and apply the load in a
counter-clockwise direction.
Note: See Torque Conversion Chart (item 3.2). This chart
shows the amount of input torque required to produce a given
output torque on the 8202-290A Torque Multiplier.
2.6 Torque output accuracy requires the use of an accurate torque
wrench in series with the torque multiplier. Apply torque with
torque wrench until desired input torque is achieved. To remove
multiplier from fastener, apply enough input torque to release
integral torque holding device, then turn positioner into opposite
position. (EXAMPLE: Rotate the positioner in CW positions for
tightening. Apply input torque in the CW direction to relieve
internal force. While holding input torque in the CW direction,
rotate positioner in the CCW direction for release) and slowly
relax input torque.
To Loosen: Follow same procedures for tightening except
set positioner in opposite position. (EXAMPLE: If fastener
requires clockwise tightening rotation, rotate the positioner
in counter-clockwise position for loosening).

4. GENERAL NOTES
Do not use impact tool on torque multiplier.
Torque reaction creates a rotational force in the opposite direction
from which input force is applied.
The output torque is the torque ratio times the input.
Use only Sweeney approved replacement parts.
