USER INSTRUCTIONS
Fresh air is supplied to the building via vents in windows or in walls in living room and bedrooms etc. The fresh air circulates via slots in doorframe to
extract louvres in WC, wet rooms and kitchen. The used indoor air is extracted via the fan through duct system and over the roof via Villavent roof unit
.
Warning: In order to avoid electrical shock, fire or other damage which might
occur in connection with faulty use and operation of the ventilation
system, it is important to consider the following:
- Isolate mains supply before service or cleaning of the heat recovery unit
- Make sure that filters are mounted in the cookerhood before running the
system
- Tumble dryer must not be connected directly into the ventilation system
- Avoid open fire under the cookerhood
- Light bulb max. 2x40 W mignon
- The fan should operate continously when installed as a ventilation
system for the building
- Maintenance to be performed in accordance with instructions below.
MAINTENANCE
General maintenance (when required) of the cookerhood is done by means of a wet cloth and liquid detergent or methylated spirits. Do not use
detergent containing grinding compound.
Grease filters (once or twice per month) Wash regularly in warm soapy water, in the sink or in the dish washer. Allow filters to dry properly
before reinstallation in the cookerhood.
Extract louvres (when required). Louvres in WC and wet rooms should be removed and washed in warm soapy water when required.
Checking the fans (every 3 years). Even if the required maintenance is carried out, dust and grease will build up in the fans. This could create a fire
hazard and also reduces the performance of the ventilation unit. The fans should therefore be pulled out and cleaned by means of a cloth or a soft
brush. Do not use water. White spirit can be used to remove obstinate settlements. Allow to dry properly before remounting.
Checking the duct system (every 3 years). Dust and grease settlements will, even if required maintenance as cleaning/changing of filters is being
carried out, build up in the duct system. The duct runs should therefore be cleaned/changed when required. This especially applies to the duct
leading from the cookerhood. Steel ducts can be cleaned by pulling a brush soaked in hot soapy water, through the duct via diffuser/louvre openings
or special inspection doors in the duct system (if fitted). Flexible ducting should be able to replace.
Cleaning the grease filters (disconnect from mains supplyfirst))
Open filter plate by pushing the 2 filter locks "L" inwards. Then press the clips
"S" outward and remove the filters. To remove the filter plates"G og H", press the
clips marked "N".
Changing the light bulbs (disconnect from mains supply first)
Press the filter locks "L" inwards and lower the filter plates. Change the light
bulb(s). Use max. 2x40 W bulbs with E-14 socket.
