Painting the Swordfish Mk. II
Early-war Swordfish featured top surface
painted with a greenish grey camouflage
and lower sides of the fuselage and bottom
surface painted in Sky Grey. Antisubmarine
planes in the latter part of the war featured
a white-based coloring on the underside
and upper surface of the nose painted
matte black. Refer to instruction manual for
guide to painting details.

Der Swordfish war zu Kriegsbeginn an den
oben liegenden Seiten mil einem grOnlich-
grauen Tarnanstrich versehen, die Rumpf-
Unterseite und die untenliegenden Flachen
waren in Himmels-Grau lackiert. Flugzeuge

der U-Boot-Abwehr im spateren Verlauf
des Kriegs hatten an der Unterseite eine
weiBe Grundfarbe und die oben liegenden
Flachen der Nase in Mattschwarz lackiert.

Peinture du Swordfish Mk.ll
Au debut de la 2s™ G.M., les surfaces
superieures des Swordfish portaient un
camouflage gris verdatre. Les flancs et
surfaces inferieures etaient gris ciel. Les
appareils utilises pour la lutte anti-sous-
marine avaient un dessous blanc et la
partie superieure du nez noire. Se reporter

details.
