Hook Up
1. Place the dispenser where it will best serve the
operation of the store.
2. Make sure that counters, platforms, and
shelves are strong enough to support the
weight of the dispenser and full containers of
product (190 lbs. [162 kg.]).
3. Air cooled units: Maintain a minimum of 12”
(305 mm) at the top and rear, and 2” (51 mm)
on the sides. Minimum air clearances must be
met to assure adequate air flow for optimum
performance.
IMPORTANT: Failure to allow for adequate
clearance can reduce the refrigeration capacity
of the dispenser and may cause damage to the
compressor.
4. Place the dispenser at a convenient height for
the operator to access the buttons and cups.
5. The dispenser requires a boosted and chilled
water supply that has been filtered. The water
supply line must be a minimum of 3/8”, but 1/2”
is recommended. It must be capable of
providing a two gallon per minute water flow at
45°F (7.2°C), with a pressure of 40-100 PSI.
The water line is connected to the rear of the
dispenser with 1/2 SAE threads.
To check the water flow, go to “Procedure to
Check Water Flow” on page 9.
INSTALL POTABLE WATER CONNECTION
WITH ADEQUATE BACK-FLOW
PROTECTION TO COMPLY WITH
APPLICABLE NATIONAL, STATE AND
LOCAL CODES.
6. Thoroughly flush the water system. This is
required because the units are shipped with
sanitized water.
7. Make sure the unit is level.
8. Plug the power cord into a proper electrical
outlet (NEMA 5-15P).
9. Install the drip tray.
10. Place the power switch in the ON position.
11. Go to “Scheduled Maintenance” on page 5 of
the Operator's Manual. Brush clean the pump
heads and get the dispenser ready to serve
product.
Procedure to Check Water Flow
1. Disconnect the water line and place the end in
a pail. Allow the water to flow for one minute.
Measure to make sure at least two gallons are
in the pail.
2. Water flow can also be checked by using the
pump heads. Dispense water only by pressing
the Large and Extra Large portion buttons on
either side. The flow rate should be 1.8 gallons
in one minute.
Priming/Flushing Water System
To properly prime the unit with water and to remove
air pockets in the system, make a few dispenses of
water only on both sides until a steady flow of water
is observed. To dispense only water, simultaneously
press and hold the Large and Extra Large portion
buttons.
Note: Water splashing may occur during the
purge cycle.
