Overview

The device is a dog training collar system designed to help pet owners train their dogs effectively and safely. It consists of a remote control (transmitter) and a receiver collar that the dog wears. The system offers various stimulation modes, including beep, vibration, and static shock, to provide different levels of correction during training.

Function Description:

The primary function of this dog training collar is to facilitate communication between the owner and the dog during training sessions. The remote control allows the owner to deliver specific commands or corrections from a distance, reinforcing desired behaviors and discouraging unwanted ones.

  • Beep Function: This mode emits an audible tone from the receiver collar. It can be used as a warning signal or a positive reinforcement marker, depending on the training context. The beep level cannot be adjusted and is set to a default level.
  • Vibration Function: When activated, the receiver collar vibrates. This gentle stimulation can serve as a mild correction or an attention-getting signal, particularly useful for dogs that are sensitive to static shock or as an initial training step. The vibration level can be adjusted to suit the dog's temperament and training needs.
  • Static Shock Function: This mode delivers a static electrical stimulation through the contact points on the receiver collar. It is intended for more serious behavioral corrections and should be used with caution and at appropriate levels. The static shock level is adjustable, allowing owners to find the lowest effective level for their dog.

The system is designed to be user-friendly, with clearly labeled buttons on the remote control for each function and level adjustment. The remote features an LCD display that shows the current channel, battery status, and stimulation level, providing clear feedback to the user.

Usage Features:

  • Pairing and Multiple Dog Control: The system allows for pairing the remote with up to two receiver collars, enabling the training of two dogs simultaneously using a single remote. The pairing process involves turning on the remote, turning off the receiver, then pressing and holding the receiver's power button for at least 5 seconds until a beep and flashing red LED indicate pairing mode. Within 5 seconds, pressing the vibration button on the remote completes the pairing.
  • Charging: Both the remote and the receiver collar are rechargeable. A full charge typically takes around 2-3 hours. The LED indicator on the remote will be solid when fully charged, while the receiver's LED will blink during charging and become solid when fully charged.
  • Power Saving Mode: To conserve battery life, the remote automatically turns off its LCD display after 2 minutes of inactivity. The receiver collar enters Power Saving Mode after 30 seconds of no movement or transmitted signal, and its LED turns off. Any movement on the receiver or button press on the remote will reactivate the devices.
  • Waterproof Receiver: The receiver collar is fully waterproof, allowing dogs to wear it in various weather conditions or during water activities without damage. However, the remote transmitter is not waterproof and should be kept away from water.
  • Adjustable Stimulation Levels: Both vibration and static shock levels are adjustable, providing flexibility to tailor the training experience to individual dogs and specific training situations. This allows for gradual increases or decreases in intensity as needed.
  • Safety Cut-off: To prevent over-stimulation, the system has a safety feature that limits continuous vibration or static shock delivery to a maximum of 10 seconds. After this period, the remote will enter Protection Mode.
  • Collar Fit: Proper fit of the receiver collar is crucial for effective training and the dog's comfort. The collar should be placed high on the dog's neck, close to the ears, with the contact points centered underneath the neck, touching the skin. It should be snug enough to allow one finger to fit between the strap and the dog's neck. A loose collar can lead to inconsistent performance, while a too-tight collar can cause skin irritation.
  • Range: The remote control has an operating range of approximately 1600 feet (433MHz), which may be affected by obstacles like walls.

Maintenance Features:

  • Battery Monitoring: The remote's LCD display shows the battery status, and the receiver's LED indicator blinks rapidly when its battery is low, signaling when recharging is needed.
  • Skin Health Checks: Regular inspection of the dog's neck area and the collar's contact points is essential to prevent skin irritation or pressure ulcers. Owners should check daily for signs of rash or sores. If irritation occurs, use of the collar should be stopped for at least 48 hours, and a veterinarian consulted if the condition persists.
  • Cleaning: The dog's neck area and the collar's contact points should be washed weekly with a damp cloth to maintain hygiene and prevent skin issues.
  • Hair Trimming: For dogs with thick fur, trimming the hair around the contact points may be necessary to ensure consistent skin contact and effective stimulation. Shaving the pet's neck is not recommended as it can increase the risk of skin irritation.
  • Collar Repositioning: To prevent prolonged pressure on one area, the collar should be repositioned on the dog's neck every 1 to 2 hours.
  • Limited Wear Time: The collar should not be left on the dog for more than 12 hours per day to minimize the risk of skin irritation.

The device is not suitable for aggressive dogs, and owners are advised to consult a veterinarian or certified trainer if unsure about its appropriateness for their pet. The collar should only be used on healthy dogs.
