BRAKE ADJUSTMENT
CANTILEVER TYPE BRAKES
You should have approximately 2mm
clearance between the brake blocks and the
wheel rim.
To adjust the brakes, on the brake lever
turn the barrel adjuster CLOCKWISE to
loosen the brake. Move the adjuster ANTI-
CLOCKWISE to tighten the brake. Turn the
lock ring located below the barrel until it
stops to set your adjustments.
If your brakes shudder/squeal you need
to check the toe in/out alignment of the
brake blocks. The leading edge of the block
should be 0.5 - 1mm, closer to the wheel
rim than the trailing edge.
WARNING
Careless use of the
front brake rst can
cause a crash.
