BRAKE ADJUSTMENT
CANTILEVER TYPE BRAKES
• You should have approximately 2mm
clearance between the brake blocks and the
wheel rim.
• To adjust the brakes, on the brake lever
turn the barrel adjuster CLOCKWISE to
loosen the brake. Move the adjuster ANTI-
CLOCKWISE to tighten the brake. Turn the
lock ring located below the barrel until it
stops to set your adjustments.
• If your brakes shudder/squeal you need
to check the toe in/out alignment of the
brake blocks. The leading edge of the block
should be 0.5 - 1mm, closer to the wheel
rim than the trailing edge.
