Noise Reduction/External Air: Check suction intake and connected suction surface for tightness and adjust to the aquarium water level. Seal the suction surface to prevent external air from entering the filter.
Deaeration: Evacuate air from the filter system by placing the return-flow hose into a bucket below the filter and activating the manual pump until no air bubbles are visible.
Impeller/Drive Magnet/Spindle: If the motor does not operate or makes abnormal sounds, check for a broken shaft, missing impeller, or foreign materials. Replace damaged parts as necessary.
