Why is my Teledyne Security Camera device not available?

If your Teledyne Security Camera is not available, it could be due to a major camera fault, disconnected power, or a network communication issue. Make sure to verify the installation steps. Also, if you're using multiple NIC systems and the NIC for the Nano is in LLA mode, ensure no other NIC switches to LLA mode. Finally, ensure your NIC is running the latest driver from the manufacturer.

How to troubleshoot multiple Teledyne Security Camera issues?
R
Robert CoxAug 10, 2025
If you're experiencing issues with multiple Teledyne Security Cameras, ensure each Nano has been assigned an IP address by checking the GigE server, especially when using a computer with multiple NIC ports. To reduce network traffic, use the Network Configuration tool to stop camera discovery broadcasts. If using multiple cameras connected to a VLAN Ethernet switch, confirm all cameras are on the same subnet. If a third-party filter driver modifies the NIC properties, preventing the Teledyne DALSA Sapera Network Imaging Driver from installing, uninstall the third-party driver and reinstall the Nano package. Also, verify that your NIC is running the latest driver available from the manufacturer.

Why is the frame rate lower than expected on my Teledyne Security Camera?

If your Teledyne Security Camera is functional but the frame rate is lower than expected, verify the Ethernet link speed. A LAN connection limited to 100 Mbps will restrict the Genie Nano frame rate once the internal buffers are full. If using an external trigger, check the trigger source rate and Nano parameters like trigger to exposure delay.
