Technical Maintenance
and Storage
Maintenance should be carried out at least twice a year and should include
the following steps:
Wipe the exterior surfaces of metal and plastic parts with a cotton cloth.
Do not use chemically active substances, solvents, etc. as these will
damage the paint.
Clean the electric contacts of the Battery Pack and the device's battery
slot using a non-greasy organic solvent.
Check the objective and eyepiece lenses and if required, remove dust
and sand from the optics (it is preferable to use a non-contact method).
Cleaning of the exterior surfaces of the optics should be done with
cleaners designed especially for this purpose.
Store the device in a carrying case. Remove the Battery Pack for long-
term storage.
