This document provides a quick start guide for the TELOX TE320 Smart LTE Terminal, a communication device designed for various operational needs. The guide covers its physical components, basic usage, charging instructions, and important safety and regulatory information.

Function Description:

The TELOX TE320 is a Smart LTE Terminal, likely a two-way radio or a similar communication device, designed for reliable communication. It features a Push-To-Talk (PTT) button for instant communication, volume controls, a channel knob, and programmable buttons for versatile operation. The device includes an LED indicator to show its operational status, such as battery level, charging status, and transmission/reception activity. It supports SIM/TF cards, indicating its capability for cellular network connectivity and data storage.

  • Physical Controls:
    • SOS Button: For emergency situations.
    • Channel Knob: To select communication channels.
    • M6 Port for Accessories: For connecting external accessories.
    • PTT Button: For initiating transmissions.
    • Volume + / Volume -: To adjust audio levels.
    • Enter Button: For menu navigation or selection.
    • Menu/Programmable Buttons: For accessing menus or custom functions.

  • Battery and SIM/TF Card Installation:
    1. Insert the SIM/TF card(s) into the designated slot(s).
    2. Place the battery into the compartment, then secure the cover and lock it.
  • Power On/Off: Press and hold the power button until the screen lights up to turn on the device. Press the power button briefly to put the screen to sleep, and press again to wake it up.
  • Charging: Connect the device to a power adapter using the USB Data Cable. A red light on the device indicates charging in progress.
  • Accessories: The device comes with a belt clip for easy carrying.

Maintenance Features:

  • Cleaning:
    • Power off the device and unload the battery before cleaning.
    • Use a dry and clean lint-free cloth or hairbrush to clean the device and charger docking port.
    • Avoid using chemical agents such as detergent, alcohol, aerosol spray, or oil preparations as cleaning solutions.
    • Ensure the device is completely dry after cleaning and before using it again.
  • General Care:
    • Avoid dropping, hitting, bending, or sitting on the device to prevent damage.
    • Ensure the charger/USB port, microSD card/SIM card slot covers are properly seated and free from foreign objects to maintain seals.
    • Do not use the charger/USB port for charging or data transmission if the phone is not completely dry.
    • Do not store the device in environments containing electronic erosive material.
    • Avoid pulling the device by holding the antenna or accessories.
  • Battery and Charger: Always use original Telox batteries and chargers. Using non-Telox batteries and/or chargers may void the warranty and cause damage.

Regulatory Information (FCC Statement):

  • Compliance: The device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules, ensuring it does not cause harmful interference and accepts any received interference.
  • Modifications: Any changes or modifications not expressly approved by the responsible party could void the user's authority to operate the equipment.
  • Interference: If the equipment causes harmful interference to radio or television reception, users are advised to reorient the receiving antenna, increase separation between equipment and receiver, connect the equipment to a different circuit, or consult a dealer/technician.
  • RF Exposure: The device meets government requirements for exposure to radio waves. It has been tested for SAR compliance in various operating positions (face-held and body-worn) to ensure user safety.
  • Body-worn Operations: For body-worn use, the device was tested at specific distances (25mm from the front face, 10mm from the product, 0mm from the belt). Belt clips, holsters, and similar accessories should not contain metallic components and must satisfy FCC RF exposure requirements.
