Why does my Tennsmith LM1014 motor overheat?
- Rrichard72Aug 8, 2025
If the Tennsmith Industrial Equipment motor overheats, first check the connection diagram on the conduit box cover and correct the wiring to ensure it's connected for the proper supply voltage. Also, make sure the supply voltage is correct. Increase air flow by using a continuous running auxiliary fan and ensuring unobstructed air flow. Ensure cool air gets to the motor, using ducting if needed. If overloaded, select a larger unit. If single phasing occurs due to a break, loose connection, or blown fuse, repair supply lines and replace fuses.
