The M5BEX Speakerphone serves as an audio input and output device, primarily for conference calls and meetings. Usage Features:
The M5BEX Speakerphone offers flexible usage modes:
- Single Speakerphone Mode: Each of the two speakerphones in the kit can be used independently.
- USB Cascading Mode: Connect two speakerphones with a 3.5mm audio cable. One speakerphone (master) connects to a computer's USB port for power and data. Volume and mute controls on the master speakerphone synchronously control the slave. If the slave speakerphone runs low on power, it can be connected to a computer for charging while still functioning as a master, and the original master becomes the new slave.
- Bluetooth Cascading Mode: Connect two speakerphones with a 3.5mm audio cable. Turn on the master speakerphone and long-press the Bluetooth button for pairing with a computer or other device. Once the master is connected, turn on the slave speakerphone.
- Wireless Dongle Cascading Mode: Connect two speakerphones with a 3.5mm audio cable. Plug the wireless dongle into a computer's USB port. Turn on the master speakerphone and long-press the Bluetooth button for pairing. Once the master is connected, turn on the slave speakerphone.
- Headset Cascading Mode: Connect a 3.5mm headset to the headset jack; the speaker will automatically mute.
- Automatic Shutdown: If no connection is made after the speakerphones are turned on, they will automatically turn off after 10 minutes.
- Default Audio Device: After correct connection, select the speakerphone as the default audio device in your video software to start a meeting.
- Bluetooth Connection Management: Short press the Bluetooth button to turn on/off the connection. In cascading mode, if the master speakerphone is connected via USB and Bluetooth is also on, USB communication will automatically stop. If connected via Bluetooth and USB for charging, and Bluetooth disconnects, USB connection will be adopted. Long pressing the Bluetooth button for 10 seconds clears Bluetooth pairing.
- LED Indicator Feedback: Blue light flashing indicates Bluetooth pairing; green light indicates Bluetooth connected. Red light indicates microphone mute; green light indicates microphone working normally. Red light indicates speaker mute; green light indicates speaker working normally. When the microphone detects sound, the indicator light in that direction illuminates. Volume adjustments are shown by a blue progress bar, turning red when volume is off, and returning to green after 2 seconds.
Maintenance Features:
- Battery Monitoring: The OLED display shows the battery level. When the battery drops below 20%, the OLED battery icon turns red, and a warning tone sounds every 3 minutes, prompting the user to charge the device.
