Never remove bread which has jammed in the toasting wells without first unplugging the toaster from
the mains supply and allowing it to cool. When removing bread or toast from the toaster be careful not to
damage the carriage mechanism or the heating elements.
Allow the toaster 15-20 seconds to cool down between toasting operations.
CRUMB REMOVAL
Your toaster features a crumb tray. This should be emptied at least
once a week to minimise the build up of toast crumbs and other
debris. To remove the crumb tray, switch the toaster off at the
mains supply and allow it to cool. The crumb tray is located at the
lrear of the toaster. Grip the handle and slide out the crumb tray.
After emptying, replace the tray before using the toaster.
CLEANING & STORAGE
Unplug the toaster from the mains socket. If the toaster is hot allow it to cool fully. Wipe the outside with a
soft cloth. If necessary, the body of the toaster and the warming rack may be wiped clean with a slightly
damp (not wet) cloth.
Do not immerse any part of this appliance in water or other liquid when cleaning and never use any abrasive
cleaners or scourers.
When not in use ensure that the appliance is switched off at the mains.
WARRANTY
Your TESCO appliance is warranted for 12 months from the date of purchase. If a fault develops during this

TIMER CONTROL: Turn this control clockwise (higher setting)
to increase toasting time and anti-clockwise to decrease the
time (lower setting).
DEFROST BUTTON: Frozen sliced bread may be defrosted and
toasted in one operation. During this cycle extra time is added to
compensate for the frozen bread. Adjust the control to the
preferred setting, press the DEFROST button and then press the
carriage lever to switch on the toaster. The Frozen indicator will
glow and the bread will toast as normal.
REHEAT BUTTON: Use the REHEAT button to reheat cooled,
toasted bread. Press the REHEAT button and then press the
carriage lever down. The Reheat indicator will glow and the
bread will be reheated. The toaster will then switch off.
High-lift facility: This is useful if you are toasting small slices of bread. After the bread has toasted, lift the
carriage lever upward and take out the toast.
USING THE WARMING RACK
Items such as pitta bread, rolls, baps and cold toast may be
heated on the warming rack.
To raise the rack, rotate the rack control fully anticlockwise
and check that the rack is secure. Place the item on the rack,
set the timer control midway and depress the carriage
lever. Do not place any bread in the toasting slots!
At the end of the cycle the carriage will return as normal.
After the toaster has cooled, lower the rack to resume
normal toasting.
Toasting Tips
Dry, thin slices will toast quicker than moist, thick slices.
If the toast starts to smoke, press the CANCEL button immediately.
Never put wrapped, buttered, or items with sugar icing into the toaster.
Note: The maximum thickness that your toaster will accommodate safely in each well is around 2cm, so
bear this in mind if you use unsliced bread. Large rolls, etc. should not be inserted into the toaster unless
they are sliced first. If you force bread that is too thick into the toaster, the carriage release may be
obstructed causing a fire risk.

A defrost button is also included for toasting frozen bread. The toaster automatically pops up the toast when the cycle is complete and switches off.

  • Voltage Rating: 220-240V AC, 50Hz
  • Power Consumption: 730-870W
  • Net Weight: 1.112kg

Usage Features

Timer Control: This control allows users to select the desired browning level for their toast. Turning it clockwise increases toasting time and anti-clockwise decreases it.

Defrost Button: This feature is for toasting frozen bread. Pressing the defrost button illuminates it and adds extra time to the toasting cycle to account for the frozen state of the bread. The indicator will glow when activated.

Reheat Button: This button is used to warm previously toasted bread. Pressing it illuminates the button, and the indicator will glow. The bread will be reheated without further browning.

Cancel Button: This button immediately stops the toasting cycle. Pressing it will cause the toast to pop up and the toaster to switch off.

High-Lift Facility: This feature allows users to lift smaller items, such as crumpets or bagels, higher out of the toasting slots, making them easier to retrieve without burning fingers.

Crumb Removal: The toaster includes a crumb tray located at the bottom. This tray should be emptied regularly to prevent crumb buildup. To remove, pull out the crumb tray, empty it, and then slide it back into position.

Using the Warming Rack: The toaster comes with a warming rack that can be used to warm items like buns, rolls, and croissants. To use, place the rack on top of the toaster slots, ensuring it is fully extended and locked. Place the items on the rack and set the timer control to a low setting. The rack should not be left on the toaster during normal toasting cycles.

Toasting Tips:

  • For thin slices of bread, toast will brown quicker than thick slices.
  • For the first toast of the day, set the timer to a medium setting.
  • Do not toast buttered, frosted, or items with sugar icing.
  • Ensure that the maximum thickness of the items to be toasted allows them to fit comfortably in the slots. Do not force items into the toaster.
  • Uneven browning can occur if using unevenly sliced bread or different types of bread simultaneously.
