Tescoma Siesta - Before First Use; Before Each Use; Filling the Gas Burner; Maintenance and Storage

BEFORE FIRST USE
Study these instructions thoroughly, follow them and keep them for future reference.
BEFORE EACH USE
Use the SIESTA gas burner for making fondue in the Fondue SIESTA set for 6 people in accordance with
the applicable local regulations for using pressurised gas receptacles. Use and store the SIESTA gas
burner in well-aired rooms beyond the reach of in ammable objects and materials (the minimum
distance is 100 cm). Never use or repair a gas burner that is in any way distorted, damaged or leaking.
FILLING
For safety reasons, the SIESTA gas burner comes without  uid. Use standard lighter  uid (butane)
for  lling.
Before each  lling, turn the  ame intensity regulator clockwise to the end right position, OFF (A).
Hold the burner by the  uid chamber and turn upside down. Insert a re lling container with lighter  uid into
the  lling valve and  ll the burner by repeatedly pushing on the container for several seconds (B).
While  lling, do not hold the SIESTA gas burner by the burner head and do not put it down with the
head down – this could damage the burner. Always wait at least 5 minutes in each  lling before
temperature of the gas in the chamber stabilises.
Notice
The weight of the burner without lighter  uid is 372 g.
The maximum permitted weight of the burner with  uid inside is 390 g.
The rated input of the burner is 0.53 kW, the maximum  uid consumption is 40 g/hour.
Use exclusively high-quality  uid (butane) from brand-name manufacturers intended for lighters.
Shake the re lling container with lighter  uid before each  lling.
Check before each  lling whether the  lling valve of the gas burner is clean – unclogged.
Filling the burner using containers other than those intended for re lling lighters may be dangerous!
Fill with  uid only in well-aired rooms or outdoors.
Do not  ll with  uid near an open  re, operating appliances or other people.
Do not cool down the SIESTA gas burner before  lling.
Do not over ll the gas burner – once the  uid begins to spray away from the  lling valve, the chamber is full.
If you over ll the gas burner (a high red and yellow  ame will appear after ignition), take the burner
outdoors and release some of the  uid.
USE
Placement
Insert the SIESTA gas burner from above into the stainless steel stand of the Fondue SIESTA set for 6 people
so that the ignition button is easy to reach (C).
Flame ignition
Turn the  ame intensity regulator counter-clockwise to the end left position, ON, where the moderately
leaking  uid is audible.
Press and hold the ignition button and press the PUSH ignition button with your thumb – in this way
you will ignite the  ame (D).
After  ame ignition, place on the stand the stainless steel vessel with oil for making meat fondue or the
stainless steel vessel with water for making cheese or chocolate fondue in the ceramic vessel (E).
Adjusting  ame intensity
Adjust  ame intensity by turning the  ame intensity regulator counter-clockwise to the left (+) or
clockwise to the right (-)(F).
A blue  ame signals optimum temperature of the  ame. If the  ame turns red, this means that there
is not enough  uid in the  uid chamber. In that case, extinguish the  ame, leave the burner to cool
down, remove it from the stainless steel stand and  ll with butane again.
Filling the chamber of the SIESTA gas burner to its top gives 0.5 to 2 hours of operation depending on the  ame
intensity in use. When making fondue in the usual way, the contents usually give 1.5 to 2 hours of operation.
Notice
Do not use or disassemble a malfunctioning gas burner.
Do not touch the burner head or body before they cool down – risk of burning.
If  uid escapes from the gas burner in use with the  ame regulator set to the OFF position, take the
burner immediately outdoors, leave all  uid to escape and do not use the burner any more.
Extinguishing the  ame
Turn the  ame intensity regulator clockwise to the right position, OFF, whereby the  uid intake is
closed and the  ame is extinguished.
Notice
Leave the SIESTA burner to cool down after each use – risk of burning. Before storage, make sure that
the  ame intensity regulator is turned to the end right position, OFF.
MAINTENANCE
Cleaning
When needed, wipe the gas burner with a moistened cloth and dry carefully. Avoid using in ammable
substances, sharp objects or sand-based agents to clean. Do not wash the gas burner in a dishwasher!
Storage
Store the gas burner in the original packaging, always in a horizontal position so that the burner head
points upwards.
Store the gas burner in a well-aired place out of the direct in uence of heat or steam, sunshine and
beyond the reach of children.
NOTICE
Do not remove the burner head or the  lling valve. Never repair a malfunctioning or
irregular burner yourself. In case of defect, always deliver it to a Tescoma service centre. For
safety reasons, always send the product for repair without the  uid content; always close
the gas valve after emptying the chamber.
WARNING
A  lled gas burner contains pressurised  ammable gas – use and handle with extra care.
An extremely high temperature exists above the visible part of the  ame. Be extra careful
to avoid burning and  re.
The accessible parts of the gas burner may be very hot – risk of burning and injury.
Do not ignite the burner aiming it at your face, clothing, other people or in ammable
materials.
Do not leave the gas burner unattended in use.
Check the gas inlet for proper closing after each use.
Always leave the gas burner to cool down entirely before storage.
Do not expose the gas burner to open  re, direct sunshine and temperatures exceeding 40 °C.
Do not immerse the product in water, do not dispose of by piercing or burning.
When  lling the gas burner, observe also the safety instructions provided on the re lling
container with the  uid.
Keep out of the reach of children.
5YEAR WARRANTY
A 5-year warranty period applies to this product from the date of purchase.
The warranty never covers defects:
- due to improper use incompatible with the Instructions for use
- resulting from an impact, fall or mishandling
- due to unauthorised repairs, or alterations, to the product.

PŘED KAŽDÝM POUŽITÍM
Plynový hořák SIESTA používejte k přípravě fondue vsoupravě Fondue SIESTA pro 6 osob, vsouladu
splatnými místními nařízeními pro použití plynových nádob pod tlakem. Plynový hořák SIESTA
používejte a skladujte vdobře větraných místnostech, mimo dosah hořlavých předmětů a materiálů
(min. vzdálenost 100 cm). Plynový hořák, který je jakýmkoliv způsobem deformován, poškozen nebo
netěsní, vžádném případě nepoužívejte ani neopravujte.
PLNĚNÍ
Plynový hořák SIESTA je zbezpečnostních důvodů dodáván bez plynové náplně. Kplnění používejte
běžný plyn do zapalovačů (butan).
Před každým plněním otočte regulátor intenzity plamene po směru hodinových ručiček zcela doprava
do polohy OFF (A).
Hořák uchopte za plynový zásobník a otočte dnem vzhůru. Nádobu s plynem do zapalovačů zasuňte do
plnicího ventilu a opakovaným několik sekund trvajícím stláčením hořák naplňte (B).
Během plnění nedržte plynový hořák SIESTA za hlavici hořáku, ani jej na hlavici hořáku nestavte
– nebezpečí poškození. Po každém plnění vyčkejte nejméně 5 minut, dokud se teplota plynu
vzásobníku hořáku neustálí.
Upozornění
Hmotnost hořáku bez plynové náplně je 372 g.
Maximální povolená hmotnost hořáku splynovou náplní je 390 g.
Jmenovitý příkon hořáku je 0,53 kW, maximální spotřeba plynu: 40 g/hod.
Používejte výhradně kvalitní plyn (butan) od značkových výrobců určený pro plnění zapalovačů.
Před každým plněním plnicí nádobu splynem do zapalovačů nejprve protřepte.
Před každým plněním zkontrolujte, zda je plnicí ventil plynového hořáku čistý – nezanesený.
Plnění hořáku z jiných typů nádob, než z nádob určených pro plnění zapalovačů, může být nebezpečné!
Plňte plynem pouze vdobře větraných místnostech nebo ve venkovním prostředí.
Neplňte plynem vblízkosti otevřeného ohně, zapnutých elektrických spotřebičů či jiných osob.
Plynový hořák SIESTA před plněním neochlazujte.
Plynový hořák nepřeplňujte – jakmile během plnění začne tekutý plyn stříkat zpět zplnicího ventilu, je
zásobník plný.
Pokud plynový hořák přeplníte (projeví se vysokým červenožlutým plamenem po zažehnutí), vyneste
hořák do venkovního prostředí a část plynu upusťte.
