connectorsatthetopendofthetesterarelabeledthesameastheirmodeswitches.AnLCDiconforthecurrentlyselected
modewillbe onorflashingonthescreen.ToturntheResi-Tester™offwheninoneofthecabletestmodes,pressthebutton
foradifferentcabletestmode,butnottheTONEbutton.PressingtheTONEbuttonwillstartthetonegeneratorintheTelTone,
theCoaxToneorNtwkTonemode,dependingonthecurrentcabletestmode.Thetonemodewillbediscussedindetaillater
oninthissection.

Whenthebatterylowiconison,thebatteryshouldbereplacedassoonaspractical.Thecabletestingresultswillbecomeunreliablewhenthebattery

2)Pullbatteryoutofcavityandremovebatterysnap.
3)ConnectanewAlkaline9voltbatterytobatterysnaps.Placebatterybackintobodywithbatterysnapsplacedtowardfrontendofcompartment.
4)Replacebatterydoorandscrewbeingcarefultonotovertightenthescrew.

defectiveinmaterialor workmanshipundernormaluse,installationandservice,providedtheproductisreturnedtoTestUmInc.freightprepaid.A
copyofthepurchasereceiptmustaccompanyproductsreturnedtous.Intheabsenceofsuchareceipt,thewarrantyperiodwillcease12monthsfrom
thedateofmanufacture.Thiswarrantydoesnotextendtoproductsthathavebeensubjectedtoneglect,accidentalor improperuse,ortounitswhich
havebeenaltered,repaired,orinspectedbyotherthanTest-Umauthorizedpersonnel.InnoeventwillTest-UmInc.beliableforanyincidentalor
consequentialdamages.
Allunitsreturnedforwarrantyrepairwillberepairedorreplacedfreeofcharge,atthediscretionofTest-UmInc.,andmustbeshippedfreight
prepaid.Intheeventthatasalesreceiptorotherdatedproof-of-purchasedocumentationisnotavailable,aperiod ofnotmorethan12monthsfrom
dateofmanufactureshallapply.
Damagedunitsreturnedfornon-warrantyrepairswillbeinspectedandanestimatedrepaircostforwardedbyphoneor email.Onceanapprovalof
thesecostsisreceived,theunitwillberepaired.ChargesforserviceandreturnfreightwillbeinvoicedonaC.O.D. basisorbyotherprior
arrangement.
