NOTE
Mark the mounting direction of snap ring (35) prior to
removal.
5. Remove snap ring (35), spring washer (36), and
brake piston (32).
6. Remove and discard O-ring (31).
7. Remove ten screws (37) and remove brake housing
(38).
NOTE
When removing shims (28), mark the assembly order and
note the quantity and total thickness of shims.
8. Remove shims (28) and brake discs (26 and 27).
9. Remove and discard O-ring (21).
10. Remove brake shaft (25).
11. Remove and discard backup ring (24) and O-ring
(23).
12. Remove and discard bushing (22).

13. Remove twelve screws (41).
NOTE
During valving cover (18) removal, valving (14) may
remain in valving cover. Hold valving during valving cover
removal.
14. Remove valving cover (18).

Be careful not to lose rotational group sub-assembly
components (48) during rotational group removal.
15. Remove cam ring (10) and rotational group (12).
16. Remove and discard O-ring (11).
17. Remove and discard O-ring (9).
18. Remove valving (14).
19. Remove spring (45) from valving (14).
20. Remove and discard seal rings (15–17) and backup
rings (42–44).
21. Position the bearing support (4) under a press on the
motor shaft (1) or on a support to avoid any force on
the studs.

22. Using inner roller bearing—inner race installation tool
(50) and press (49), apply a force on inner roller
bearing (6) just enough to provide clearance for snap
ring (8) removal.
