ENGINE REASSEMBLY
INSTALLING ROCKER ARMS
On this cylinder both cams
2
point downwards.
1. Insert both valve adjustment shims
1
.
2. Coat the rocker arm
3
and rocker axle
4
lightly with engine oil.
3. Hold the rocker arm in position.
4. Check if the circlip
5
is installed and insert
the rocker axle.
5. Repeat the procedure with the other rocker arm.
6. Check the valve lash according to the
specification Valve lash. (See section D Test
procedures and adjustments.)
7. Turn the crankshaft in rotation direction,
until both cams on the other cylinder
point downwards. (See chapter Engine
components.)
8. Install two rocker arms on the other cylinder.
1. Clean the grooves for gaskets
2
and the
sealing surfaces on the valve cover.
2. Clean the sealing surfaces on the cylinder
head.
3. Replace three valve cover seals

.
4. Insert three valve cover seals dry and without
supplies into the grooves.
