Pay attention to the wire colors
The current always has to flow in the right
direction. It can only do that if you attach
the battery terminal wires correctly.
The positive wire coming from the battery
clip is red, while the negative wire is black.
The same colors are used in the assembly
drawing as well.
In the drawing, you will also see a
+
and a
–
sign next to the connections.
Using the right resistors
The resistors protect components such as
the LEDs against excessive current, which
might destroy them. So always be sure to
install the right ones.
