Batteries must not be thrown away or burnt, but must instead be disposed of in

this is possible without destroying it. Dispose of the batteries or rechargeable
batteries at suitable collection points or through your local waste facility.
This product is subject to the European Waste Electrical and Electronic Equip-

Do not dispose of your old device with your normal household waste; instead,

Proper disposal protects the environment as well as the health of your fellow human

Operation
Inserting a battery
1. Remove the battery compartment from the device and insert a fully charged
9-V block battery in the battery compartment with the correct polarity. Then
insert the battery compartment completely until it engages.
Ö If the battery is inserted correctly you will hear a beeping noise.
2. Turn the rotary control to the [Battery Check] position to display the battery
charge level. If the LED lights up, the battery is fully charged. If the battery is
depleted, the LED does not light up and the battery has to be replaced.
Resting cables by means of the banana plugs
1. Insert two test lines in the sockets of the banana plugs.
2. If there is a connection between the plugs, you hear a buzzing sound and the
yellow test LED lights up.
3. To test audio cables whose plugs are not compatible with the device, use a test
pin. If there is a connection between the plugs, you hear a buzzing sound and
the yellow test LED lights up.
Testing cables
1. Insert the ends of the cable to be tested in the corresponding sockets on the
sides of the device.
2. Turn the rotary control to position [1] to test the connection of contact1 of the
plugs. If the yellow and green test LEDs light up simultaneously, contact1 of
the respective plug is OK.
If the test LEDs do not light up, this indicates that contact1 of the plug is
defective.
3. Proceed as described under points 1 to 2 to test all remaining contacts of the
plugs.
