of about 10 seconds.
• Do not run blender for more than 1 minute without turning off the blender motor and
allowing the ingredients to slightly settle. This will help prevent over-blending.
• The blender motor will not operate without the glass jar positioned correctly on top
of the blender base.
• Do not remove the blender lid while operating. To add liquid ingredients while
blending, remove the center piece of the two-piece lid and pour ingredients through
the opening. Do not put a utensil or any other object through the opening in the lid.
• NEVER store foods or liquid in the jar.
• To reduce wear on the blade assembly and motor, add solid foods in ½ cup
increments.
• If a recipe requires different speeds for blending, blend a portion at a time.
• When crushing ice, start with 4 to 6 ice cubes and add 1 to 2 ice cubes at a time.
The type of ice cube used does matter. It is recommended to use only large, solid
ice cubes from the freezer. The ice cubes also should not be wet.
