This document describes the Digicode 433 Professional (Digicode 433), Digicode 868 Premium (Digicode 868), and Digicode 868 Professional (Digicode 868) devices, which are radio-controlled digital keypads designed for access control. These devices are used to transmit radio signals to a receiver, which then activates a connected device (e.g., a gate, door, or alarm system).

Function Description

The Digicode keypads allow users to activate a connected device by entering a predefined code. The devices are battery-operated and transmit radio signals on specific frequencies: 433.92 MHz for the Digicode 433 and 868.3 MHz for the Digicode 868 models. The transmission power is less than 10 mW.

The keypad features 10 numeric keys (0-9) and two additional function keys (A and B). The "A" key is used for additional functions or to confirm entries, while the "B" key is typically used for supplementary functions. The devices also include an LED indicator that provides visual feedback during operation, such as confirming key presses, indicating successful code entry, or signaling low battery.

Usage Features

Code Entry: To activate a device, the user enters a 2 to 6 digit code followed by pressing the "A" key. The LED will flash to confirm each key press. If the code is correct, the LED will light up for 3 seconds, and a radio signal will be transmitted. If the code is incorrect, the LED will flash rapidly for 3 seconds.
Programming Codes: The devices support multiple user codes (up to 10 for the Digicode 433 and up to 100 for the Digicode 868 models). Programming involves entering a master code, followed by a specific sequence to add, modify, or delete user codes.
- Adding a Code: Enter the master code, press "A," then enter the desired user code (2-6 digits), press "A," and then enter the desired channel number (1-10 for Digicode 433, 1-100 for Digicode 868). The LED will confirm successful programming.
- Deleting a Code: Enter the master code, press "A," then enter the code to be deleted, press "A," and then press "B." The LED will confirm deletion.
- Changing a Code: This involves deleting the old code and then adding a new one.
Channel Selection: Each user code can be assigned to a specific channel, allowing the keypad to control multiple receivers or different functions on the same receiver.
Panic Function: The keypad can be configured to activate a "panic" function by pressing and holding a specific key combination (e.g., 1 and 3 simultaneously) for 3 seconds. This transmits a continuous signal for 30 seconds.
Bell Button Function: The "B" key can be configured as a bell button, transmitting a radio signal on a specific channel when pressed.
Backlight: The keypad features a backlight that illuminates the keys for approximately 8 seconds after a key press, improving visibility in low-light conditions.
Temporary Disabling: The keypad can be temporarily disabled for a set period (e.g., 1 hour) by entering a specific code sequence.
Factory Reset: A factory reset can be performed by opening the device, pressing a specific button, and then entering a code. This will erase all programmed codes and restore default settings.

Maintenance Features

Battery Replacement: The devices are powered by two CR2032 batteries. When the battery is low, the LED indicator will flash rapidly after a key press. To replace the batteries, open the device by removing the two screws on the back, carefully remove the old batteries, and insert new ones, ensuring correct polarity.
Cleaning: The device should be cleaned with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
Environmental Protection: The device contains electronic components and batteries that must be disposed of according to local regulations. Do not dispose of the device or batteries with household waste.
