usedtopowertheeFlex.ThechargercommunicatesviaCANwiththebattery
managementsystem(BMS)locatedwithinthelithiumbatterypack.Thecharger
willrespondtotheCANmessagingissuedbytheBMSwhichwillcommunicate,
amongotherthings,theimmediatevoltageandcurrentneedsofthebattery
pack.Thechargerisintendedtobeusedindoorsonlyandcanbeleftconnected
tothetargetbatterypackindenitely.
AnACpowersupplycordprovidespowerinputtothecharger.Powersupply
forthechargercanbeeither110/120VACor220/240VAC.Theoutputcord
fromthechargertothebatterypackincludesapositivecable,negativecable,
wake-upwire,andtheCAN-buscables.Ensurethatthecorrectpowersupply
andoutputcordsareusedforthelithiumbatterypackcharger.
Thechargerisequippedwith3LED’stoindicatethechargerisON,thebattery
isCHARGING,andthebatteryisREADY(fullycharged).Additionally,theLCD
messagedisplayonthechargercanbeusedtomonitorthechargingprocess.

charger.
Note:Ensurethatthechargerisconnectedtothebatterypack,pluggedintoa
walloutlet,andturnedONwheneverthemachineisnotinuse.
Thebatterypackchargingoperationisfullyautomated.Whenregularcharging
occurstoreadythebatterypackforinseasonmowing,batterychargingstates
includestart-up,rampup,charging,cellbalance,andstandby.Whenthe
batterypackisinstorage,thechargeralsoprovidesahibernatestate.TheLCD
messagedisplayonthefrontofthechargerwillidentifythepresentstateof
thecharger.
Thechargerwillautomaticallyshutdown(exitanyactivestateandreturntothe
start-upstate)iftheoutputcordfromthechargertothebatterypackisunplugged
oriftheACpowertothechargerisinterrupted(e.g.,circuitbreakertripped).
