8.Removethe6bolts(item7inFigure122)and6atwashersthatsecure
thebatterypacktothebatterybase.
9.Carefullyremovethebatterypackfromthebatterybaseandthemachine.
IMPORTANT
Donotopenthelithiumbatterypack.Withtheexceptionofthe
batterypackfuse,fusecover,andlabels,therearenoconsumer
serviceablepartsonorinthebatterypack.Ifyouopenthebattery
pack,youwillvoidthewarranty.Thebatterypackisprotectedby
tamper-alertingdevices.
InstallingtheLithiumBatteryPack
1.Ensurethatthebatterybaseisraisedandsupported.
2.Carefullypositionthebatterypacktothebatterybase.Thebatteryconnector
portshouldbetowardtherearofthemachine.
3.Securethebatterypacktothebatterybasewiththe6bolts(item7inFigure
122)and6atwashers;torquetheboltsto11.3to14N∙m(100to130in-lb).
4.Connectthewireharnessconnectortothebatterypack(Figure124)as
follows:
A.Lineupthetabsontheinsideofthewireharnessconnectorwiththeslots
inthebatterypackreceptacleandpressthewireharnessconnector
intothebatterypackreceptacle.
B.Rotatethelockingcollarontheharnessconnectorclockwiseuntilit
engageswiththebatterypackreceptacleandbeginstopullintowardthe
battery.Continuerotatingthecollarapproximately120°(1/3ofaturn)
untilitfullyseats.
IMPORTANT
Whenpivotingbatterypacktotheframe,ensuretonotpinchthe
wireharnessbetweenthemachinecomponents.
5.Removethescrewdriverorrodusedtoholdthebatterybaseintheraised
position.Carefullypivotthebatterybaseandbatterypacktothemachine
frame.Ensurethatthewireharnessisnotpinchedbetweenthemachine
componentsasyoulowerthebattery.
6.Securetherearofthebatterybasetotheframewiththetallnut(item3in
Figure122).Then,securethefrontofthebasetotheframebyfullytightening
the2ange-headscrewsand2angenuts.
7.Connectthebatterywireharness6-pinconnectortothemachinewire
harness(Figure121).
8.Connectthebatterypack;refertoConnectingtheLithiumBatteryPack
(page5–7).
