SamsungLithiumBatteryPackCare
Whenmowing,usetheInfoCenteronyoureFlextomonitorthestateofcharge
ofthelithiumbatterypack.Consistentlyoperatingthemachinewithaverylow
stateofchargewilladverselyaffectthelifeofthebatterypack.
Ifproblemswiththebatterypackexist,anadvisoryorfaultmaybeidentied
ontheInfoCenterdisplay.RefertotheInfoCenterDisplay(page5–19)for
informationonadvisoriesandfaults.
Whennishedwiththemachineusefortheday,parkyoureFlexinaclean
anddrygarageorstorageareathatisawayfromdirectsunlightandother
heatsources.Donotstorethemachineinalocationwherethebatterypack
temperaturecouldriseabove45°C(113°F).Ifthebatteryissubjectedregularly
toexcessivetemperatures,thelifeofthebatterypackwillbereduced.
Chargethebatterypackwhenyouarenishedmowingforthedaytoensurethat
thebatteryisfullychargedforthenextmowing.Lithiumionbatteriesdonothave
achargememoryissueanddonotneedtobefullydischargedbeforecharging
them.EnsurethatthebatterypackischargedwiththeT orolithiumbatterypack
chargerthatisspeciallydesignedfortheeFlexbatterypack.Forbestbatterylife,
connectthebatterypacktothebatterychargerwhenthemachineisnotinuse.
Keepthebatterypackcoverclean.Adirtycoverwillincreasetheheatinthe
batterypackandwillreducetheenergycapacityandlifeofthebatterypack.
SamsungLithiumBatteryPackStorage
Ifthemowerwillbestoredformorethan10days,ensurethatthebatteryis
connectedtothelithiumbatterypackcharger.Ifthebatteryisnotconnectedto
thechargerduringstorage,thebatterypacklifewillbereduced.
Donotstorethemachineinalocationwherethetemperaturewilldropbelow
-25°C(-13°F)orriseabove45°C(113°F).Becausestoragetemperaturewill
affectthelifeofthebatterypack,avoidstoringyoureFlexintemperaturesoutside
ofthisrange.Storageforlongperiodsoftimeathightemperatureswillreduce
thelifeofthebatterypack,especiallyifthepackisstoredwithahighcharge.
Wherepossible,storethemachineinacool(notbelowfreezing)location.
