5.Removethekickstandfromthemachine.
6.Ifnecessary,disassembleandremovetheservicepositionlockingpin
assembly(items3,4,5,and6inFigure144)fromtherearframe.
InstallingtheKickstand
1.Ensurethatthemachineisparkedonalevelsurfaceandkeyisremoved
fromthekeyswitch.
2.Iftheservicepositionlockingpinassembly(items3,4,5,and6inFigure144)
wasremovedfromtherearframe,installremovedlockingpincomponents.
3.Positionthekickstandinsidethemachineframe.Insertthebolt(item7in
Figure144)throughtherearframe,kickstand,andspacer.Threadtheange
nutontheboltandtightentosecurethekickstand.
4.Slidethetorsionspringontothepinontherearframe.Placetheendofthe
springintheslottedholeinthebottomoftherearframe.
5.Pivotthekickstandupandholdagainsttheframestops.Useanutdriver
orsmalldiameterpipeovertheendofthetorsionspring.Pushthespring
enddownandouttoinstallthespring(Figure145).
