Note:T opreventcuttingunitfromturningwhenremovinggroomerdrivegear,
usea1/2inchsocketonhexofreeldriveshaftthatisusedforbacklapping
thecuttingunit.
13.Loosenandremovegroomerdrivegear(item17inFigure192)fromthe
cuttingunitshaft.
14.Remove4button-headscrews(item30inFigure192)thatsecuretheright
driveplateassemblytothesupportplateonthecuttingunitframe.Remove
therightdriveplateassemblyfromgroomingshaftandcuttingunit.
15.Carefullypullthegroomingreelfromtheleftsupportplate.
16.Inspectseals,bushings,andbearingsinrightdriveplate,leftsupportplate
andgroomerarmsforwearordamage.Also,inspectgearsandidler
componentsforwearordamage.Replacecomponentsasnecessary.
InstallingtheGroomingReel(CounterRotatingGroomerDrive)
1.Applyalightcoatingofgreasetoendsofgroomingreelshaftandalsoto
seallipsinrightdriveplateandleftsupportplate.Ensurethatallbearings,
bushings,andsealsareproperlyinstalled.
2.EnsurethattheO-ring(item11inFigure192)isinstalledongroomingreel
shaft.ApplylightcoatingofgreasetoO-ring.
3.Carefullyplacegroomingreelassemblyintotheleftsupportplatetakingcare
tonotdamagesealinsupportplateorO-ringonshaft.
