RemovingtheIdlerAssembly
1.Parkthemachineonacleanandlevelsurface,lowerthecuttingunits
completelytotheground,settheparkingbrake,andremovethekeyfromthe
keyswitch.
2.Removetheelectricmotorfromthecuttingunit;refertoElectricMotor(page
5–69).
3.Removethegroomerreelassembly;refertoRemovingtheGroomerReel
(page9–12).
4.Removethecotterpinandclevispinfromtheheightadjustmentrodatthe
frontoftheidlerarm.Discardthecotterpin.
5.Removethe2socket-headscrews(item5inFigure219)thatsecurethe
adaptortothecuttingunit,andremovetheadaptorandidlerassemblyfrom
thecuttingunit.
6.Inspecttheshields,bearing,andbushingintheidlerassembly.Removeand
discardthecomponentsthatarewornordamaged.
