1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,turnthekeyswitchtotheOFFposition,
andremovethekeyfromthekeyswitch.Disconnectthebatterypack;refer
toConnectingtheLithiumBatteryPack(page4–3).
2.Removethetransmissiondrivebelt;refertoRemovingtheTransmission
DriveBelt(page4–39).
3.Disassembletheidlersystemasnecessary(Figure46).Discardtheball
bearingsiftheyareremovedfromtheidlerpulleys.
4.Checkthebushings(items2and6inFigure46)forwearordamage.
Replacethebushingsifnecessary.Thebushingsforengage/disengage
shaftarepressedintothetransmissionhousingandcover.
AssemblingtheTransmissionIdlerSystem
1.Assembletheidlersystemasnecessary(Figure46).Theballbearingsthat
supporttheidlerpulleysarepressedintothepulleys.
A.Ifthebearingswereremovedfromtheidlerpulleys,pressnewbearings
fullytotheshoulderoftheidlerpulleys.
