1.Removetherearwheel;refertoRemovingandInstallingtheWheels(page

6–9).

2.Removethelowerpluganddraintheoilfromthegearbox.Inspecttheplug

O-ringandreplaceasnecessary.

3.Unplugthe48Vbattery;referto48VBatteryDisconnect(page5–9).

4.Locatethe3WDtractionmotorconnectionstothemachinewireharnessand

disconnectthe2connectors.Checkthemotorandtheharnessconnectorfor

damageorcorrosionandcleanorrepairasnecessary.

5.Removetherearwheelhubfromthe3WDtractionmotor;refertoRear

WheelHub(Optional3WD)(page6–17).

6.Removetheventhoseandttingfromthemotorandgearboxassembly.

InspecttheventttingO-ringandreplaceasnecessary.

7.Removethe4fastenerssecuringthegearboxtothecasterforkandremove

themotorandgearboxassembly.

8.Installthemotorandgearboxassemblyinreverseorder.

9.Fillthegearboxwithapproximately1,200cc(40oz)of80W-90gearoil(to

thebottomofthelevelplug)beforereturningthemachinetoservice.
