  If your Toro Lawn Mower has no traction, the oil level in the hydraulic tank may be low. The transmission bypass valves could be open, or the charge pressure might be low. The engine flywheel coupling could be damaged, or the transmission or wheel motor(s) may be worn or damaged. Fill the hydraulic tank to the recommended oil level. Check and repair or replace the bypass valves. Check and correct the charge pressure. Inspect and replace the flywheel coupling. Inspect and repair or replace worn or damaged components.

  Sluggish traction response in your Toro Lawn Mower could be due to several reasons. The transmission bypass valve(s) may be open or defective, the brake could be dragging or binding, or the hydraulic oil might be very cold. Additionally, the transmission check valve, relief valve, and/or flushing valve could be leaking, the charge pressure could be low, or the transmission or wheel motor(s) might be worn or damaged. Inspect and repair or replace the bypass valve(s). Inspect and repair dragging or binding brakes. Allow hydraulic oil to warm up. Inspect and replace any leaking valves. Check and correct charge pressure. Inspect and repair or replace worn or damaged components.

An orifice in the transmission check valve(s) could be plugged, or the transmission itself might be worn or damaged. Adjust, reconnect, or repair the external control linkage. Inspect and clean or replace the transmission check valve. Inspect and repair or replace the transmission.

The transmission PTO clutch might be worn or damaged. Increase the engine speed to the recommended level. Inspect and repair or replace the PTO clutch.

  Excessive foaming of hydraulic fluid in your Toro Lawn Mower, leading to oil leakage, can occur if the oil level in the hydraulic tank is low, or the hydraulic system has the wrong type of oil. It may also happen if one of the pump suction lines has an air leak, incompatible hydraulic oils are mixed in the system, or water is present in the hydraulic system. Fill the hydraulic tank to the recommended oil level. Replace with the correct type of hydraulic oil. Inspect and repair any air leaks in the pump suction lines. Flush the hydraulic system and replace with compatible oils. Drain and replace hydraulic oil to remove any water contamination.
