coverforassemblypurposes(Figure75).
IMPORTANT
Usecautionwhenclampingthegearpumpinavisetoavoid
distortinganypumpcomponents.
3.Securethefrontcoverofthepumpinavisewiththedriveshaftpointingdown.
4.Loosenthe4bolts(13)thatsecuresthepumpassembly.
5.Removethepumpfromtheviseandremovetheboltsandwashers.
6.Supportthepumpassemblyandgentlytapthepumpcasewithasoft-faced
hammertoloosenthepumpsections.Donotdropthepartsordisengage
thegearmesh.
IMPORTANT
Marktherelativepositionsofthegearteethandthrustplatessothat
youcanbeassembletheminthesameposition.Donottouchthe
gearsurfacesasresidueonhandsmaybecorrosivetogearnish.
7.Removethethrustplatesandsealsfromeachpumpsection.Before
removinggearset,applymarkingdyetothematingteethtoretaintiming.
Thepumpefciencymaybeaffectediftheteetharenotinstalledinthesame
positionduringassembly.
