DisassemblingtheBodyAssembly
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,settheparkingbrake,lowerthecutting
deck,shutofftheengine,andremovethekeyfromthekeyswitch.
2.Useapunchandhammertoremovethepin(7)fromthesteeringwheel.
Discardthepin.
3.Removethesteeringwheel(1)andwasher(2)fromthesteeringcolumn.
4.Removethesocketheadscrew(5)andwasher(6)thatsecuresthebushing
(8)tothesteeringcontrolvalve.Useasuitabletoolandpullthebushing
(5)fromthesteeringcontrolvalve.
5.Locateandretrievetheshaftkeyfromthesteeringcontrolvalve.
6.Removethescrews(3)thatsecuresthedashboard(4)tothesteeringcolumn.
7.Forassemblypurpose,labeltheelectricalwireharnessconnectors.Unplug
theelectricalwireharnessconnectorsfromthedashboard.
8.Removethesteeringcolumncoversfromthesteeringcolumnasnecessary
(Figure146).
