9.Removethe2boltsandnutsoneachsideofthemachine.
10.Slidethedeckouttowardtherightsideofthemachine.
MowerDeckInstallation
1.Placethedeckonthegroundontherightsideofthemachine.
2.Slidethedeckintopositionunderthemachine.
3.Connectthe2boltsandnutsoneachsideofthemachine.
4.Connectthe2boltsandnutsonthefrontoftheplateunderthefootrest.
5.Installthemowerbelt.MowerBeltReplacement(page6–6)
6.Installthemowerbeltcovers.
7.Raisethedecktothe76mm(3inch)height-of-cutpositionandcheckthe
decklevel.LevelingtheMowerDeck(page6–9)
8.Connectthebatterybyinstallingthepositivecablerst,thenthenegative
cabletothebattery.
9.For60inchdecksonly:
•Raisethedecktothetransportposition127mm(5inches).
•Installtheliftassistspringadjustingscrewpreviouslyremoved.
•Slowlyadjustthescrewontheliftassistspringuntilagapof22–29mm
(7/8–1-1/8inches)isachieved.
MowerSpindleReplacement
MowerSpindleRemoval
1.ParkthemachineonalevelsurfaceanddisengagethePTO.Stopthe
engine,waitforallmovingpartstostop,andremovethekey.Engagethe
parkingbrake.
2.Disconnectthebatterybyremovingthenegativecablerst,thenthepositive
cablefromthebattery.
3.Removethemowerbeltcovers.
4.Removethemowerbelt.MowerBeltReplacement(page6–6)
5.Removethecuttingblade.
6.Removethe6self-tappingboltsthatsecurethespindletothedeck.
7.Pullthespindleassemblydownward,throughthedeck.
MowerSpindleDisassembly
1.Clampthespindleforservicebyplacingthespindleshaftinavise.
2.Removethenutandwasherfromthetopofthepulley.
