1.ParkthemachineonalevelsurfaceanddisengagethePTO.Stopthe
engine,waitforallmovingpartstostop,andremovethekey.Engagethe
parkingbrake.
2.Disconnectthebatterybyremovingthenegativecablerst,thenthepositive
cablefromthebattery.
3.Lowerthemowerdecktothe76mm(3inch)height-of-cutposition.
4.Removethemowerbeltcovers.
5.Removethespringtensionfromtheidlerpulley.
6.Removethebeltfromthedeckpulleysandtheclutchpulley.
7.Routethenewbeltaroundtheclutchpulleyanddeckpulleys.
8.Installtheidlerspring(ifpreviouslyremoved).
Note:Makesuretoseatthespringendsintheanchorgrooves.
9.Makesuretoseatthespringendsintheanchorgrooves.
10.Connectthebatteryterminalsandverifyproperfunctionoftheunit.

1.ParkthemachineonalevelsurfaceanddisengagethePTO.Stopthe
engine,waitforallmovingpartstostop,andremovethekey.Engagethe
parkingbrake.
2.Disconnectthebatterybyremovingthenegativecablerst,thenthepositive
cablefromthebattery.
3.Removetheheightadjustmentpinandlowerthedecktotheground.
4.Placetheheightadjustmentpininthe76mm(3inch)height-of-cutposition.
5.Removethemowerbeltcovers.
6.Removethemowerbelt.MowerBeltReplacement(page6–6)
7.Removethe2bolts(items1and2)andnutsfromthefrontoftheplateunder
thefootrest.
