1.Installthebladeontothespindleshaft(Figure
66).
Important:Thecurvedpartoftheblade
mustbepointingupwardtowardtheinside
ofthemowertoensurepropercutting.
2.Installthecurvedwasher(cuppedsidetoward
theblade)andthebladebolt(Figure66).
3.T orquethebladeboltto47to88N∙m(35to65
ft-lb).
LevelingtheMowerDeck
Checktoensurethatthemowerdeckislevelanytime
youinstallthemowerorwhenyouseeanunevencut
onyourlawn.
Checkthemowerdeckforbentbladespriorto
leveling,andremoveandreplaceanybentblades;
refertotheCheckingforBentBlades(page49)before
continuing.
Levelthemowerdeckside-to-siderst;thenyoucan
adjustthefront-to-rearslope.
Requirements:
•Themachinemustbeonalevelsurface.
•Alltiresmustbeproperlyinated;refertoChecking
theTirePressure(page46).
LevelingfromSidetoSide
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,disengage
theblade-controlswitch(PTO),andengagethe
parkingbrake.
2.Shutofftheengine,removethekey,andwait
forallmovingpartstostopbeforeleavingthe
operatingposition.
3.Settheheight-of-cutlevertothemiddleposition.
4.Carefullyrotatethebladessothattheyareall
sidetoside(Figure69andFigure70).
