InstallingtheMowerBlades
Inmostmowingconditions,thestandardhigh-lift
bladeswillprovidethebestbaggingperformance.
TheToroAtomicbladeisrecommendedforbagging
leavesindryconditions.Indrydustyconditions,the
medium-liftorlow-liftbladesreducesdustanddirt
blowoutwhileprovidingeffectivebaggingairow.

Deector
WARNING
Anuncovereddischargeopeningcouldallow
thelawnmowertothrowobjectsatyouor
othersandresultinseriousinjury.Also,
contactwiththebladecouldoccur.
Neveroperatethelawnmowerunlessyou
installacoverplate,amulchplate,ora
grasschuteandcatcher.
Makesurethatthegrassdeectorisinthe
downposition.
1.Removethelocknut,bolt,springandspacer
holdingthedeectortothepivotbrackets
(Figure57).
2.Removethedamagedorworngrassdeector.
3.Placethespacerandspringontothegrass
deector.
Note:PlacetheLendofthespringbehindthe
deckedge.
Note:MakesurethattheLendofthespringis
installedbehindthedeckedgebeforeinstalling
theboltasshowninFigure57
4.Installtheboltandnut.
5.PlacetheJ-hookendofthespringaroundthe
grassdeector(Figure57).
Important:Thegrassdeectormustbeable
tolowerdownintoposition.Liftthedeector
uptotestthatitlowersintothefulldown
position.
