Note: 2010 machines have the spindle housing
mounted to the top of the deck. From the
underside of the deck, install the 6 nuts
securing the spindle housing (Fig. 1273).

Mower Deck Spindle Installation
1. Position the spindle assembly to the deck. Orient
the spindle so that the grease tting is easily
accessible (Fig. 1271).

2. Install 6 bolts and nuts to secure the spindle as-
sembly to the mower deck (Fig. 1272).

3. Slide the crowned blade bolt washer onto the blade
bolt so the crown is toward the bolt head (Fig. 1274).
