8.Makesurehydraulicuidisatnormaloperatingtemperaturebyoperatingthe
machineforapproximately10minutes.
9.Verifyandrecordenginespeedwithaphototach.
CAUTION
Useextremecautionwhenperformingthistest.Thecuttingunit
reelswillberotatingduringthetest.
10.Engagethecuttingunitsandrecordtheunrestrictedcuttingunitpressure.
11.Watchpressuregaugecarefullywhileslowlyclosingtheowcontrolvalve.
A.Formachineswithbacklap,systempressureshouldbeapproximately
17237kPa(2500PSI)assolenoidvalve(S1R1)reliefopens.Record
testresults.
B.Formachineswithoutbacklap,systempressureshouldbeapproximately
20684kPa(3000PSI)asreliefvalve(R1)opens.Recordtestresults.
12.Disengagethecuttingunits.Openthecontrolvalveonthetesterandshut
theengineOFF .
13.Ifspecicationismet,testpump(P2)owasdescribedinCuttingUnitCircuit
TestingGearPump(P2)FlowT est(page4–56).Ifspecicationisnotmet,
cleanorreplacesolenoidvalve(S1R1)orreliefvalve(R1)asdescribedin
ServicingtheMowerManifold(page4–99)andretest.
14.Removethetesterandreconnectthehydraulichose.
15.Formachineswithbacklap,adjustcuttingunitbedknifetoreelclearance
andreelspeedasnecessary.
16.Checktheuidlevelinthehydraulictankandadjustasnecessary;refer
totractionunitOperator’sManual.
