5.Installtesterbetweenthegearpumpandthedisconnectedhose.Make
surethetesterisinstalledinthecorrectowdirectionandthetesterow
controlvalveisfullyopen.
6.Startengine.Movethrottletofullspeed(2850±50RPM).
7.Makesurehydraulicuidisatnormaloperatingtemperaturebyoperatingthe
machineforapproximately10minutes.
8.Verifyandrecordenginespeedwithaphototach.
9.Testthegearpump(P3)owasfollows:
A.RecordtesterpressureandowreadingwithpumpAtNoLoad.
Unrestrictedpumpoutputshouldbeapproximately14.7LPM(3.9GPM).
CAUTION
Donotclosetestervalvefullywhenperformingthistest.Inthis
test,thehydraulictesterispositionedbeforethecircuitrelief
valve.Pumpdamagecanoccuriftheuidowisfullyrestricted
byfullyclosingthetesterowcontrolvalve.
B.ToverifythepumpowUnderLoad,watchowmeterpressuregauge
carefullywhileslowlyclosingtheowcontrolvalveuntil5516kPa(800
PSI)isobtainedongauge.
