RemovingtheWheelMotors
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface.Lowerthecuttingunits,stoptheengine
andremovethekeyfromtheignitionswitch.
2.Removethefrontwheelandbrakeassembly;refertoRemovingtheFront
WheelandBrakeAssembly(page6–5).
3.ReadandadheretotheinformationprovidedinGeneralPrecautionsfor
RemovingandInstallingtheHydraulicSystemComponents(page4–71).
4.Disconnectthehydraulichoses(leftwheelmotor)orremovethehydraulic
tubes(rightwheelmotor).Allowhosesortubestodrainintoasuitable
container.Plughosesandcapttingstopreventcontamination.
IMPORTANT
Markthewheelmotorsrightandleftpriortoremoval.Duetothe
predominantdirectionofrotation(forward),therightandleftwheel
motorsarenotinterchangeable.
5.Removefour(4)hexheadscrewsandlocknutssecuringthebrakebracket
andwheelmotortotheframe.Removebrakebracketandwheelmotorfrom
machine.
6.Ifnecessary,markthehydraulicttinglocationandorientationtoallowfor
correctassemblyandremovethehydraulicttingsfromthewheelmotor.
RemoveanddiscardallO-ringsfromthehydraulicttings.
InstallingtheWheelMotors
Note:Inspectthreadsandsealingsurfacesofhydraulicttingsandhydraulic
hoseortubeconnectorspriortoinstallation.Replaceanydamagedorworn
ttings,hosesortubes.
1.LubricateandtnewO-ringsontowheelmotorhydraulicttings.Install
ttingsintomotoropeningsmakingsurethatttinglocationandorientationis
asnotedduringremoval.Tightenttingsasspecied;refertoInstallingthe
HydraulicFittings(SAEStraightThreadO-RingFittings)(page4–10).
2.Installthewheelmotorandthebrakebrackettotheframeusingfour(4)hex
headscrewsandlocknuts.
3.Removetheplugsandthecapsfromhydraulichosesandttingsandusing
labelsplacedduringwheelmotorremoval,connectthehydraulichosesor
tubestothewheelmotorttings.Tightentheconnectionsasspecied;refer
toInstallingHydraulicHosesandTubes(O-RingFaceSeal)(page4–8).
4.Installthefrontwheelandbrakeassembly;refertoInstallingtheFrontWheel
andBrakeAssembly(page6–6).
5.Chargethehydraulicsystem;refertoChargingtheHydraulicSystem(page
4–79).
