ofthestemtubecancausebindingandmalfunction.When
removingtherotaryvalvefromthemanifold,ensurethatthedeep
wellsocketfullyengagesthevalvebase.
E.Removetherotaryvalvefromthemanifoldwithadeepwellsocket.
5.RecordlocationoftheO-ringsandthebackupringsonthevalve.Remove
anddiscardthesealkitfromtherotaryvalve.
6.Visuallyinspectthemanifoldportandthecartridgevalve:
A.Checkfordamagedthreadsonthecartridgevalveandinthemanifold
block.
B.Ifvalvesealingsurfacesappearpittedordamaged,thehydraulicsystem
maybeoverheatingortheremaybewaterinthesystem.
C.Contaminationmaycausevalvestostickorhangup.Contamination
canbecomelodgedinsmallvalveoricesorsealareascausingvalve
malfunction.
CAUTION
Useeyeprotectionsuchasgoggleswhenusingcompressedair.
Note:Particlesasneastalcumpowdercanaffecttheoperationofhigh
pressurehydraulicvalves.
7.Cleantherotaryvalve.Submergethevalveincleanmineralspiritstoush
outcontamination.Ifthevalvedesignallows,useanon–metallicprobeto
pushtheinternalspoolinandout20to30timestoushoutcontamination.
Cleananddrythecartridgevalvewithcompressedair.
8.Installtherotaryvalve:
A.LubricatethenewO-ringsandthebackupringsofthesealkitwithclean
hydraulicuidandinstallthemontherotaryvalve.TheO-ringsandthe
backupringsmustbearrangedproperlyontherotaryvalveforproper
operationandsealing.
IMPORTANT
Usecarewheninstallingtherotaryvalve.Slightbendingor
distortionofthestemtubecancausebindingandmalfunction.
Makesurethatdeepwellsocketfullyengagesthevalvebase.
B.Lubricatethethreadsonthecartridgevalvewithcleanhydraulicuid.
Threadthecartridgevalvecarefullyintothecorrectmanifoldport.The
valveshouldthreadineasilywithoutbinding.
C.Tightenthecartridgevalveusingadeepwellsockettothetorque
specicationshown.
D.Placethehandlebaseontheowcontrolvalveandpositionthealignment
markonthebasewiththenumber1onmanifold.Securethebasewith
thetwo(2)setscrews.Applyalightcoatingofgreasetochamferontop
ofthebasetoeasethelipsealinstallation.
