A.Ifvalvesealingsurfacesappearpittedordamaged,thehydraulicsystem
maybeoverheatingortheremaybewaterinthesystem.
B.Contaminationmaycausethevalvetostickorhangup.Contamination
canbecomelodgedinsmallvalveoricesorsealareascausingvalve
malfunction.
6.Installthespoolvalve:
A.LubricatethenewO-ringsandthebackupringsofthesealkitwithclean
hydraulicuidandinstallthemonthespoolvalve.TheO-ringsandthe
backupringsmustbearrangedproperlyonthespoolvalveforproper
operationandsealing.
B.Carefullypushthespooldownintothemanifoldportuntilthelower
O-ringandback-upringgrooveisexposedonthebottomofthemanifold.
InstallthelowerO-ringandback-upringtothespool.Applyalight
coatingofgreasetotheO-ring.
C.Installthelowerretainingringtothespool.
D.Carefullyraisethespooluntiltheupperretainingringgrooveonthespool
isexposedontopofthemanifold.Installtheupperretainingring.
E.Ifthehandlewasremovedfromthespool,positionthespoolsothe
handlelocationisbetweenthestoppinsinthemanifold.Applyahigh
strengthretainingcompound(Loctite®#603orequivalent)tothethreads
onthehandleandinstallthehandleintothespool.
F.Placetheballandthedowelpininthebacklapswitchmanifoldport.
InstallanewO-ringontothebacklapswitch.Threadthebacklapswitch
intotheportandtightento27N∙m(20ft-lb).
